This mixed-method regularly scheduled series provides interprofessional clinicians the opportunity to learn about congenital heart disease using varying learning modalities such as engagement in a detailed discussion about a specific patient case in the cardiology department setting or learning from a didactic session that discusses and analyzes the latest research, interesting cases, and evidence-based practices related to the specialty of congenital heart disease.

We will provide hands on training in critical pediatric assessment and procedure skills. This will include pediatric specific triage techniques, airway management, vascular access, immobilization and resuscitation procedures. Using high fidelity simulation, this course will also focus on the crisis resource management skills needed to successfully manage a critically ill pediatric patient.
