Session Summary:

As a preceptor, do you need a "Bridge Over Troubled Water" or do you just "Let it Be"? Do you want to be "Stronger"? Bring your lunch to join the preceptor series to discuss, rewards and challenges of being a preceptor. You can belt out with your peers "I will Survive" as you "Shake it Off" in this engaging session.

Join your colleagues in a quarterly educational series that addresses topics most relevant to the precepting new associates, new graduates and practicum students. This interprofessional activity invites effective speakers to interact with the team in an informal discussion on topics relevant to the preceptor such as role modeling, legal liabilities, rewards and challenges. Pack your lunch and enjoy your meal during the engaging discussions with subject matter experts and other preceptors. 

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this activity, participants will be able to: 

  • Describe rewards and challenges of a preceptor.
  • Apply best practice to precepting.
  • Discuss rewards and challenges as a preceptor.
