Karen Wohlheiter, PHD,  received her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Pediatric Psychology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and completed psychology residency and fellowship programs at Nemours/AIDHC. She has over 10 years of experience in working in the field of pediatric psychology. Her primary position is in the Nemours Center for Cancer and Blood disorders where she works with children of all ages with cancer and blood disorders.  She also is the Clinical Director for Specialty Care in the Department of Psychology at NCH, Delaware. In addition, she is the Director of Training in the Peer Support Program, Nemours Children Hospital. Dr. Wohlheiter has co-authored a number of peer reviewed articles and book chapters and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Practice in Pediatric Psychology. She is also an active member of the residency and training program in psychology and the hospital’s Ethics committee.
