Mary Newman, DNP, RN, NE-BC, CPON is the Director of Nursing for the Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer & Blood Disorders, Nemours Children’s Hospital, Wilmington, DE. Mary received her BSN from Gwynedd Mercy University, her MSN, in Healthcare Administration, from the University of Delaware, and her DNP from Villanova University. She is board certified as a Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse (CPON) and Nurse Executive (NE-BC).  

Mary serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Pediatric HematologyOncology Nurses (APHON). She is the board liaison for the Professional Development Committee and Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Program Committee for APHON.  Mary is also an active member of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) and the American Nurses’ Association (ANA).

Mary has presented at the national level on the National Academies of Medicine Future of Nursing: 2020-2030 Report and on Nursing Leadership and Professional Development.  She is passionate about resiliency in nursing and developing nurses as leaders.
