Roxanne Johnson, MBBS, DM, Fellowship in Critical Care
Roxanne Johnson, MBBS, DM, Fellow (Critical Care) is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona, Class of 2008. She fell in love with the discipline of Anaesthesia and immediately pursued the Doctor of medicine in Anaesthesia and Intensive care and successfully matriculated in 2014. She also went on to complete a fellowship in Critical Care medicine through the University if the West Indies. During her fellowship her thesis: An Audit of Intraabdominal sepsis in the Intensive Care Unit at the University of the West Indies was published and the data included in an International Observational study: Epidemiology of intra-abdominal infection and sepsis in critically ill patients: “AbSeS”, a multimodal observational cohort study and ESICM Trials Group Project.
Dr Johnson joined the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care here at BHC in 2015 where she is tasked with teaching and continuing education for the junior doctors amongst other responsibilities. She along with her other colleagues strive to continue to offer world class anesthesia and intensive care to the children of Jamiaca.
She’s an avid conversationalist, believer in God, coffee lover and wine drinker
