Michael Stoner, MD, FAAP, FACEP

Michael J. Stoner, MD, FAAP, FACEP, is a pediatric emergency medicine physician and chief of emergency medicine at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida, in Orlando. He is also a Professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. He joined Nemours Children’s in August 2023 after serving as an attending pediatric emergency medicine physician and chief of emergency medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was also the Pediatric Medical Director for local EMS agencies and MedFlight, as well as the associate medical director of the NCH critical care transport team.
Dr. Stoner earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and his Doctor of Medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis, in Sacramento, and his fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. His interests include analgesia and sedation, as well as the prehospital care of pediatric patients.
