Megan Marine, MD
Megan Marine, MD is associate professor of clinical radiology at Indiana University School of Medicine at Riley Hospital for Children and serves as the pediatric radiology fellowship director. She is passionate about child abuse imaging research and education. Her research involvement and recent Chair position of the SPR child abuse imaging committee as well as involvement in the postmortem imaging committee have helped her continue to build expertise and provide much needed research and resources in the care of these children. She led a multi-institutional study in child abuse imaging research and continues to work on child abuse imaging projects and works to improve child abuse imaging education of residents. She has recently developed a new postmortem imaging program at Riley Hospital for Children to include postmortem whole body CT. With grant funding, the department has performed greater than 30 postmortem whole body CT studies, amongst only a handful of US institutions who perform postmortem pediatric CT. She anticipates utilizing this data to determine low dose protocols for living patients, particularly of the chest, to evaluate fractures which may have otherwise been misinterpreted on radiographs in child abuse evaluation.
