Shilpa Gurnurkar is a Pediatric Endocrinologist at Nemours Children’s Health in Orlando. She is an Associate Professor at UCF College of Medicine and the Program Director of the Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship Program. She joined Nemours in 2013 after finishing her fellowship at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Gurnurkar’s clinical interest is in Thyroid cancer and she has worked with the department of surgery in establishing the “Surgical endocrine program” at Nemours. Her area of research interest is Type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Dr. Gurnurkar has published papers in this area. She also has keen interest in teaching and is actively involved with medical students from UCF, College of Medicine.
