Dr. Gedela is a pediatric neurologist and division chief of Neurology at Nemours Children's Hospital, Florida in Orlando. He joined Nemours Children’s in October 2023 after a position as division chief of Neurology and chief of the Brain Health Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and associate professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at Emory University. Dr. Gedela completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Andhra University, in Visakhapatnam, India, and his Doctor of Medicine degree there as well. He then completed his training in pediatrics in India, the United Kingdom, and Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, and is board-certified in all three continents. Dr. Gedela went on to complete a residency in pediatric neurology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburg. He completed his training there with a fellowship in Pediatric Epilepsy/Neurophysiology. He is board-certified in Epilepsy and Neurology with a Special Qualification in Child Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
