Beth Schwartz, MD

Beth Schwartz received her undergraduate degree in Biological Anthropology at Harvard University and her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She did her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and a fellowship in Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She returned to Jefferson in 2015 to start a Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology program there and at Nemours Children’s Hospital and splits her clinical time between the two hospitals. She is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pediatrics and is involved with the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at the national level.
Dr. Schwartz has known that she wanted to be a pediatric and adolescent gynecologist since she was in high school and loves taking care of children and adolescents in both the office and operating room, as well as conducting research in this understudied population. Her main research interests are menstrual management in transgender and gender diverse youth, reproductive care of patients with disabilities, and diagnosis of adnexal torsion.
