Nicolas Chiriboga, MD
Dr. Chiriboga is an assistant professor of pediatrics, in the division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at LeBonheur Children's Hospital/UTHSC in Memphis. He did his medical school at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador. After medical school, he completed a research fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. He then went on to complete a pediatric residency program at the University of Florida-Jacksonville and a pediatric critical care medicine fellowship at UF/Shands Children's Hospital in Memphis. His passion for the care of critically ill children with brain injuries led him to seek a pediatric neurocritical care fellowship at Lurie Children's Hospital/Northwestern University. His research has mainly revolved around neuroinflammation and neuroinflammatory conditions. He is an active member of the Pediatric Neurocritical Care Research Group and the Neurocritical Care Society.
