Dr. Kahana is a board-certified pediatrician, anesthesiologist and intensivist.  She has been a leader in graduate medical education for over 3 decades, having created and led GME programs for pediatricians, pediatric anesthesiologists, and pediatric intensivists.  She rose to the rank of full professor because of those efforts and served as such over her career at the University of Chicago, then at Stanford University and eventually at Einstein College of Medicine. She came to Nemours Children's Health in 2018 continuing her leadership role in pediatric critical care medicine. Her research interest is in creating successful educational strategies for learning beyond medical school.
