Loren Mclendon, MD
Loren McLendon, MD is a pediatric neurologist at Nemours Children's Health and a native of Jacksonville. She joined Nemours Children’s in October 2022 after completing a Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis and Related Neuro-Inflammatory Disorders fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. McLendon earned Doctor of Medicine degree from Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in Indianapolis, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She went on to complete a General Pediatrics Residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, and a Child Neurology Residency at Mayo Clinic Florida in Jacksonville.
Dr. McLendon has been named a Partner in MS Care physician by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) for her demonstrated knowledge and experience in treating MS. Her expertise in neurology is vast, and includes expertise in pediatric multiple sclerosis, myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), and autoimmune encephalitis (AE). Dr. McLendon has published peer-reviewed medical journal articles and been active in research. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
