David Fedele, PhD, ABPP
Dr. Fedele earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Florida State University and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Oklahoma State University. He completed his predoctoral internship training and a T32 postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. He was an Associate Professor and Director of the Child/Pediatric Area in the Department of Clinical & Health Psychology at the University of Florida until recently joining Nemours Children's Health. At Nemours, he is a Principal Research Scientist and Program Director in the Center for Healthcare Delivery Science and the Center for Pharmacogenomics and Translational Research. His program of research is focused on improving the health of youth diagnosed with a chronic illness and their families by developing innovative methods to optimize health behavior change and reduce barriers to disease management. His current work focuses on implementing technology-based interventions to promote self-management and access to care in youth diagnosed with asthma and cystic fibrosis. Dr. Fedele’s program of research has been extramurally funded as PI since 2014 by federal (e.g., National Institutes of Health) or national (e.g., American Lung Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation) organizations. Dr. Fedele is also a licensed psychologist and board certified in clinical child and adolescent psychology.
