Jennifer Vodzak, MD

Dr. Jennifer Vodzak is the Chief Quality & Safety Officer for Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware Valley, and a Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. In addition to providing clinical care, she serves as Medical Director of the regional Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP). Dr. Vodzak has contributed to numerous initiatives, committees, presentations, and publications in pediatric infectious diseases, antimicrobial stewardship, informatics, patient safety, and quality improvement. In recognition for her commitment to teaching and mentorship, she has received several teaching awards and is actively involved in student and resident education, as well as local, regional, and national CME programs.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Wilkes University, Dr. Vodzak obtained her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed both her pediatrics residency and pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Following fellowship, Dr. Vodzak has served in a variety of clinical, academic, healthcare quality and safety, and administrative leadership roles in both urban and rural settings, including at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, and Geisinger Health System Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville, Pennsylvania, prior to joining Nemours Children’s Health in 2023.
In her role as Chief Quality & Safety Officer, Dr. Vodzak leads strategic quality and safety efforts to improve care delivery for children, foster a culture that connects daily work to safer care every day, and drive clinical excellence across the Delaware Valley region. Her current leadership, clinical, and scholarly interests focus on antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship, healthcare quality and safety, informatics, and developing multidisciplinary partnerships that improve outcomes and enhance pediatric care.
