Brynn Marks, MD, MSHPEd

Brynn Marks, MD, MSHPEd is a pediatric endocrinologist and the Senior Director of Medical Affairs at Breakthrough T1D. Her work focuses on bridging the gaps between research innovations and clinical implementation to improve type 1 diabetes care.
Dr. Marks attended Georgetown University and and subsequently attended the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. She completed her pediatric residency at Nemours AI duPont Hospital for Children and spent a year as the Assistant Residency Program Director while working as a general pediatrician in the weight management and endocrinology access clinics. Dr. Marks subsequently completed her fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at Boston Children’s Hospital. During her fellowship, Dr. Marks developed an interest in medical education and pursued a Masters in Health Science Professions Education from the MGH Institute for Health Professions.
Dr. Marks previously served as an Assistant Professor at Children’s National Hospital (2019-2022) and the Director of Technology of the Diabetes Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (2022-2025). Her clinical research focused on developing innovative approaches to support the implementation of diabetes technology. As an NIH-funded clinician researcher, Dr. Marks has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and co-authored the 2026 American Diabetes Association Pediatric and Adolescent Standards of Care. She currently serves on the Executive Board for the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes and is a member of the Lancet Commission on Type 1 Diabetes.
