Jonathan Miller, M.D.
Dr. Jonathan Miller is the Chief of Primary Care for Nemours Children’s Health in the Delaware Valley, and also serves as Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program. Dr. Miller was the first Medical Director of Value-Based Care at Nemours. In these roles, he has overseen the creation of the first pediatric Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) in Delaware, called KidWell Network. Dr. Miller is an Academic General Pediatrician, Hospitalist, and Ethicist who joined Nemours in 2013. Clinically, he is both a primary care pediatrician, including the care of Children with Medical Complexity, and a pediatric hospitalist. Along with his clinical activities, Dr. Miller is involved in ethics, education, quality improvement, research, and advocacy. He is currently the Vice President of the Delaware Chapter of the AAP. His quality improvement work focuses on prevention and screening in primary care as well as standardized clinical pathways, but his biggest passion is for immunizations, including research around vaccine hesitancy.
Prior to joining Nemours, Dr. Miller was an Academic General Pediatrician and Hospitalist at the Children’s Hospital of the University of Illinois and at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Miller received a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University, and then graduated from the School of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. He completed Pediatrics Residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and Fellowship in Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago. He spends his family time with his wife (Nemours Pediatric Surgeon Loren Berman) and three children, and as a youth sports coach.
