Sahar Barfchin, MD is a board-certified pediatrician at Nemours Children’s Health Delaware and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. She works as a Pediatric Hospitalist, caring for children of all ages and teaching trainees. She also conducts clinical research, acts as a Patient Experience liaison, and advocates for children on a range of health and socio-economic issues. She currently serves as the American Academy of Pediatrics Delaware chapter Advocacy Chair.

Dr. Barfchin completed her undergraduate education at University of Massachusetts, Amherst and medical education at University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She trained in pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC, then worked at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Cener in Baltimore, MD. She has been serving Delaware’s children at Nemours since 2020.
