Judit Szolnoki, MD MS PSL
Dr. Judit Szolnoki is a pediatric anesthesiologist with both academic and private practice professional background. She obtained her Medical Doctor (MD) degree from Semmelweis University of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary, followed by doctoral studies in the Department of Biophysics at the same institution. Her post-graduate training includes fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at The Children’s Hospital, University of Colorado Denver. Dr. Szolnoki furthered her education by completing the Master of Science Program in Patient Safety Leadership at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Szolnoki is actively engaged in academic and leadership roles. She serves as the Department Chair at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, FL, since July 2020, and medical director of the Clinical Logistic Center. She has the rank of Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Central Florida. Prior to this, she was a Physician Partner at US Anesthesia Partners Nevada in Las Vegas where she served as the vice chair of patient safety and quality improvement and leader of the pediatric section. In addition, she has held interim chair and chief positions in pediatric anesthesiology at Children’s Hospital Colorado, University of Colorado School of Medicine, and has been a faculty anesthesiologist at various prestigious institutions.
Dr. Szolnoki’s clinical interest includes pediatric patients with difficult airways, open airway procedures and epidermolysis bullosa patients. She also has special interest in leadership principles, coaching and leadership development of others.
Dr. Szolnoki is member of the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia and actively participates on the Quality & Patient Safety, Diversity & Inclusion Committees and at the Pediatric Leadership Council (PALC).
