I am a registered nurse with a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's degree in nursing. In addition to my educational background, I have practiced as a registered nurse for 19 years, all of which have been with the pediatric population.  I have worked as a pediatric critical care nurse for 13 years and I am a certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).  I am a current member and former chair of the PICU Education Committee and a former member of the Hospital-based Education Council.   In this role, I have designed educational material and facilitated simulations on a wide range of pediatric critical care topics, including those approved for CEU’s.  I am a member of the hospital’s bedside specialist team for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and apheresis. Additionally, I have a master's degree in education with five years of classroom teaching experience at the high school level and five years of clinical teaching experience at the collegiate/university level.
