Dr. Heather Hartman-Hall is a licensed psychologist who obtained her PhD in clinical psychology from American University in Washington, DC. She is an assistant professor of clinical medicine for the Georgetown University School of Medicine.
As the Clinical Director for Behavioral Health Initiatives for the MedStar Health Center for Wellbeing, Dr. Hartman-Hall leads initiatives related to stress management and a trauma-informed workplace for MedStar, as well as strategies to improve access to and utilization of mental health resources by MedStar physicians, providers, and associates. She directs a team of mental health coaches who provide on-the-ground support for associates throughout the system.
Dr. Hartman-Hall is also an Associate Program Director for the internal medicine residency at MedStar Health in Baltimore. In addition to directing a wellbeing program for the residency, she provides behavioral health consultation and resident training in two MedStar primary care offices.
She has presented at regional, national, and international conferences on her research in wellbeing for healthcare organizations, wellbeing and fatigue management in medical training, implementing Stress First Aid in healthcare settings, and addressing behavioral health needs in primary care.
