Dr. Lindsey Knake is an Assistant Professor and Associate Chief Medical Informatics Officer at the University of Iowa. Dr. Knake completed a master’s in biomedical informatics at Vanderbilt. Dr. Knake is board certified in Pediatrics, Neonatology, and Clinical Informatics and is the chair of the Epic Neonatology Steering Board. Dr. Knake is a certified Epic physician builder with additional certifications in physician builder analytics and Clinical Data Models. She has recently completed Cosmos Data model training (Epic’s national de-identified database). Dr. Knake is the chair of the EHR Integration subgroup of NeoMIND-AI, which is a new group of neonatologists interested in levering machine learning and AI capabilities to advance neonatal care (https://neomindai.com). Her research interests include creating machine learning based prediction models to predict extubation success in Neonates in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
