Dr. Pearlman joined ChristianaCare as a staff neonatologist after completing his fellowship at Penn State Hershey. He has held several leadership positions within the Department of Pediatrics including Associate Director of Neonatology, the Director of Pediatric Medical Education and served as the Neonatology Fellowship Director. In 2012 Dr. Pearlman received a Master of Science in Healthcare Quality and Safety from the Jefferson School of Population Health. He is currently the Clinical Effectiveness Officer at Christiana Care Health System.

Dr. Pearlman is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Sidney Kimmel College of Medicine and serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Perinatology. He has published 100 abstracts, papers and book chapters. Dr. Pearlman also lectures nationally and internationally on a number of topics related to quality improvement and serves as the Co-course Director for the Quality Day at the Hot Topics in Neonatology meeting in Washington DC.

Dr. Pearlman is also involved in the activities for the American Academy of Pediatrics. He served as the chair of the Neonatal Coding Committee, was a member of the Committee on Child Health Financing, and is the leader for the group of senior neonatologists.
