Alyssa Denenberg has been a pediatric nurse practitioner for 5 years with 2 years in primary care pediatrics and over 3 years in neurology. She has received her first bachelor's degree in community health from Towson University. Alyssa went back to school at Villanova University for both her bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing. Her nursing experience always been in pediatrics working on a surgical trauma unit, emergency room, as well as primary care. Over the past 5 years Alyssa has worked closely with a nonprofit organization called Blair in Kenya. She has provided medical care to children in a very poor and impoverished village outside the city of Kisumu in Kenya. This year she was unable to travel to Kenya but raised over $1300.00 which enabled the collaboration with an organization called EduTek. Now, with the help from EduTek, the school located in the village has access to tablets and devices that provide thousands of electronic resources without requiring internet.
