Kelly Carlson Eberbach, DNP, MBA, RN, CPN, CPEN
Kelly Carlson Eberbach has been a pediatric nurse for more than 35 years with experience in critical care, sedation, emergency care, and education. She earned her undergraduate degree, a BSN, in 1897 at St. Xavier University in Chicago, then earned an MSN and MBA from Lewis University, in Romeoville, Illinois in 2009. Her passion for education was nurtured at the University of Central Florida and earned her a Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2015 and a Post-Masters Teaching Certificate in 2017. She holds national certifications in Pediatric Nursing (CPN) and Pediatric Emergency Nursing (CPEN). Kelly is a member of the Emergency Nursing Association and sits on the Nursing Alumni Board at The University of Central Florida and on the national American Hospital Association TeamSTEPPS Advisory Council. She has been a TeamSTEPPS master trainer since 2015 and has led many initiatives to improve teamwork and communication in the healthcare setting. Her current professional roles with Nemours Children’s Hospital are Continuing Education Specialist and Nursing Academic Liaison for community partners. She had played instrumental roles in the advancement of nursing continuing education, the journey to Joint Accreditation, and with the partnerships between NCH and our community colleges and universities. Kelly is an experienced lecturer and has a delivered podium presentations, workshops, webinars, and posters nationally and internationally.
