Nathan Ranalli, MD, FAANS, FCNS, FAAP

Nathan J. Ranalli, MD, FAANS, FCNS, FAAP is a dual-board-certified neurological surgeon and pediatric neurosurgeon who provides expert surgical care and treatment to kids at Nemours Children’s Health at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Northeast Florida. Dr. Ranalli earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia after receiving a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed a residency in neurological surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at St. Louis Children’s Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Ranalli has been a University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville Associate Professor in the departments of Neurosurgery, Pediatrics and Maxillofacial Surgery since 2012. He currently serves as the Associate Program Director of the Pediatric Maxillofacial and Craniofacial Surgery Fellowship Program, neurosurgical director of the Craniofacial and Spasticity programs at Wolfson Children’s Hospital, and site director/preceptor for the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education Jacksonville Pediatric Neurosurgery rotation.
Dr. Ranalli specializes in the operative treatment of conditions like craniosynostosis and craniofacial anomalies, spasticity, brain and spinal cord masses, hydrocephalus and trauma. Throughout his career he has trained and mentored the next generation of pediatric neurosurgeons and pediatric maxillofacial and craniofacial surgeons at Northeast Florida’s top institutions.
