The Facilitator Workshop: Basic Course is a standardized, foundational training designed to ensure consistent, high quality facilitation across skills based and scenario based educational programs. The course establishes a shared framework for facilitator.

Learner Change:
This activity will improve facilitators’ knowledge of evidence-based simulation practices, strengthen their skills in structured facilitation, prebriefing, and debriefing, and enhance their performance by promoting consistent, high-quality delivery of simulation-based education across programs.
Outcome Evidence:
This activity’s impact will be evaluated through pre- and post-assessments to measure knowledge gain, participant self-reported confidence and competence, and observed demonstration of facilitation skills during in-person sessions.

Physicians, nursing, respiratory therapists, EMS
Learning Objectives
- Apply structured facilitation principles to skills based and scenario based interprofessional learning experiences.
- Incorporate psychological safety, effective communication, and standardized prebriefing practices into facilitation.
- Apply interprofessional evaluation and debriefing strategies to promote shared reflection, enhance performance, and inform continuous program improvement.
Team-Based Learning Objective:
Participants will collaborate within interprofessional teams to apply standardized facilitation strategies to effectively deliver consistent, high-quality simulation-based learning experiences.
