Daniel Ruggles is board certified, fellowship trained in pediatric orthopedics.  His practice focuses on pediatric limb deformity and fractures.  Prior to joining Nemours, he was Director of the Limb Lengthening & Deformity Corrections Program at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Miami, Florida.  There he was awarded the NCH Physician Service Champion of 2025.   He spent 4 years of his career working overseas for CURE International as Medical Director of the CURE Hospital Dominican Republic, and also serving in Haiti, Zambia, and the Philippines.  In 2025, he received the Humanitarian Award by the American Osteopathic Association of Orthopedic Surgery.
