AVP Acute Care, Day Medicine, and Infusion Services

Liz began her career at Nemours 18 years ago and has proudly served in the roles of Clinical Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Manager, Director of Operational Performance Improvement and Staffing Resource Operations and most recently was promoted to the position of AVP of Acute Care, Day Medicine, and Infusion Services. She has worked in the Emergency Department, with the Critical Care Transport Team, and Medical Surgical Units. She graduated with her BSN from the University of Delaware in 2005 and her MSN (Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist focus) from the University of Delaware in 2010. She is a Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse, Certified Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, A3 Coach, and has Lean Leader training. Throughout her career, Liz has focused on strategic, operational, and financial plans to support department and organizational goals.  She was instrumental to the success of all three Magnet applications through her roles as a writer and data analyst. She has had a strong focus on expense management, creative staffing solutions, and ongoing evaluation of productivity.  She has published and presented some aspects of this work nationally.  Throughout her tenure, she has worked to use innovative strategies to improve processes that impact patient outcomes, flow, and experience.
