Lauren received her B.A in Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1997 and her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001.From there she began her career as a medical social worker at Christiana Care focusing on primary and specialty care for adults with special health care needs. In 2019 she transitioned to Nemours Children's Health where she took on the role of Transition Social Work Coordinator for the Transition PLAN Program (Preparing for Life After Nemours). When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, reading and being outside as much as possible. She also is an adjunct at a local university teaching on topics including disability issues, health and wellness, resilience and self-care.
