Gerardo A. Vázquez Garcia, M.D., M.S. is the Interim Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology at Nemours Children’s Health in Jacksonville, Florida. He trained in pediatrics at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New York and completed his fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonary Diseases at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His clinical focus includes asthma, cystic fibrosis, aerodigestive conditions, and complex airway disease, and he remains actively involved in national research initiatives spanning non‑atopic asthma, asthma control tools, CFTR modulator therapy, and pediatric airway physiology.

He also directs the Nemours Jacksonville Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia Foundation Clinical and Research Center—the first pediatric PCD Foundation–affiliated site in Florida—expanding access to specialized diagnostics and research for children with suspected ciliary disorders.
