Glen Tinkoff, MD

Glen Tinkoff, MD, FACS, FCCM, is an acute care surgeon with nearly four decades of experience in trauma care. He is a professor of surgery at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio, and recently retired as Vice Chairman of Surgery at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, where he oversaw a regional trauma system in Northeast Ohio. Prior to that, Dr. Tinkoff served as Associate Vice Chair of Surgery and Trauma Medical Director at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware and Medical Director of the Delaware Trauma System. He is currently the immediate past president of the American Trauma Society and continue to serve on its Board of Directors. He also served on the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Committee on Trauma for nearly two decades, and continues to serve as a lead reviewer for ACS’s Trauma Center Verification, Review, and Consultation program. He has provided numerous invited lectures and authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on trauma care and trauma systems, acute care surgery, and injury prevention and advocacy.
