Matthew Kielt, MD

Matthew Kielt, MD, is an attending neonatologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is an internationally-recognized expert in the clinical care of ventilator-dependent infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). Dr. Kielt's research program centers on identifying precision therapeutics that accelerate the time-to-liberate from mechanical ventilation for infants with established BPD. Dr. Kielt’s research is supported by grant funding from the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), and the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS). He is the site principal investigator for the International BPD Collaborative and serves as a member of the Children's Hospital Neonatal Consortium (CHNC) severe BPD working group.
