Peter Davis completed his neonatal fellowship training at McMaster University, Canada where he developed an interest in Clinical Epidemiology and Evidence Based Medicine. He led the Department of Newborn Research at The Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne from 2009 until his retirement in 2026.

He has trained many academic neonatologists, including leaders in Australia and around the world. He has published extensively on many neontal topics, particularly non-invasive ventilation and resuscitation and he remains a substantial contributor to the Cochrane Collaboration.
