Jon Davids, MD

Jon Davids, MD is a professor and recent emeritus holder of an endowed chair in Pediatric Orthopaedics in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California Davis School of Medicine. He has served as the Chief Surgeon, Assistant Chief of Orthopaedics, and Medical Director of the Motion Analysis Center at Shriners Children’s in South Carolina and Northern California. Dr. Davids has had a longstanding interest in global orthopaedics, providing pediatric orthopaedic education and surgical services with World Pediatrics in Central America for over 15 years. He is currently the President of the Armstrong Children’s Orthopaedic Foundation, which seeks to improve the quality of orthopaedic care provided to children by promoting educational opportunities for providers from resource-limited settings.
He received his undergraduate degree in Latin American Studies from Brown University and earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed his Residency in Orthopaedics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedics at Rady Children’s Hospital / University of California San Diego.
