2011-present Faculty: Foundations in Clinical Medicine I, II, III; FCM- Mechanisms and Practice Meet weekly with 16-17 medical students and discuss cultural competency, ethics, clinical exam, end of life discussions, substance abuse, medical statistics, insurance, systems and practice. Observe students interviewing standardized patients and read and grade student essays. This also includes portfolio sessions; students write to a prompt and present their writings to the group to help them to become mindful and humanistic physicians.
2011-2024: The Major Clinical Year (MCY) Preceptor for 3rd year. Weekly meetings with 18
students and 3-4 student leaders/ avatars to discuss their ongoing clinical rotations and discuss student writings in response to a prompt relevant to their experience.
2015-present Ready for Residency (R4R) Preceptor for 4th year. Individual meetings with 12-16
students to discuss R4R projects which reflect on their medical school years and their growth into future physicians.

1999-2000 Developed curriculum and conducted the first National Board accredited examination for Pediatric Cardiology in India.

- Faculty- K07 group at Columbia University Medical Center. This is a faculty group formed by preceptors for the Foundations in Clinical Medicine course and headed by Dr. Rita Charon. The original purpose of the group was peer mentorship for the FCM faculty and to discuss curriculum, student feedback and student coaching. This has expanded its scope into Narrative medicine, establishment of a student portfolio for reflective writing and also into some qualitative research groups, leading to presentations at education meetings and publications.

2008-2018 Executive Board Member of the Science Invention and Technology Committee responsible for conducts annual Science Research Competition in Rockland County, NY for Students from Grade 5-12.

09/2010- present: Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Inpatient Service Attending,
Round on inpatient pediatric PH service along with cards/PH fellow throughout the year-all working days and many weekend days depending on inpatient acuity. Available to pediatric cardiology fellows for PH patient related questions throughout the year.

Care for >500 adult and pediatric patients with pulmonary hypertension in conjunction with a comprehensive medical-surgical team. First U.S. center accredited by Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) as a Pulmonary Hypertension Center of Comprehensive Care for Adult and Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension.
Outpatients are seen 3 days a week, about 12-14 outpatients each day seen between 2 physicians.
