Katie Manning is a UK-based artist, trauma-informed coach, educator and cleft advocate. Drawing on 25 years’ experience in education, alongside her lived experience as a mother within the cleft community, Katie explores the emotional, relational and nervous-system impact of cleft diagnosis, treatment and identity.
She is the founder and artist behind the 100 Cleft Portraits project, an international initiative using portraiture, storytelling and education to challenge stigma and create a more human, expansive understanding of cleft. Katie works with families, healthcare professionals, schools and organisations to bring greater compassion, emotional safety and lived experience into cleft care.
