He is the Florida Chief Quality and Safety Officer (CQSO). He oversees quality, safety, and infection prevention for the state of Florida.
He is a pediatric critical care physician and has been practicing since 2003. He has received the rank of Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. His research interests include safety culture and event reporting.
