Edward Ziga, MD., MPH

Edward Dela Ziga, MD, MPH is a board-certified pediatric hematology/oncology specialist who is highly experienced and fellowship-trained in blood, bone marrow transplantation and cellular/gene therapy. He treats patients in Northeast Florida as part of the comprehensive team in THE PLAYERS Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Nemours Children’s Health, Jacksonville and Nemours Children’s Health at Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
Prior to Nemours Children’s, Dr. Ziga cared for patients and trained medical students, residents and fellows at Holtz Children’s Hospital in Miami for more than a decade. He attended medical school at the University of Science and Technology School of Medical Sciences in Ghana and continued his training with an internship/residency in pediatrics at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey. Dr. Ziga completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri followed by a second fellowship in pediatric bone marrow transplantation and cellular therapy at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Ziga also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in epidemiology.
He joined Nemours Children’s Health, Jacksonville in February 2025 as the new director of blood, marrow transplantation and cellular/gene therapy.
