Eric Bergh, MD

Eric Bergh, MD is a specialist in maternal-fetal medicine and fetal intervention at Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware Valley. He has extensive expertise in fetal diagnosis, prenatal management of complex congenital anomalies, and fetal surgery. His surgical skills encompass open, fetoscopic, and percutaneous in-utero interventions for conditions such as twin-twin transfusion syndrome, spina bifida, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, complications of monochorionicity, and alloimmunization in pregnancy.
Dr. Bergh earned his medical degree from Rutgers University’s Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He further specialized with a postdoctoral fellowship in fetal intervention at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas, completed in 2020.
His academic interests include a focus on the development of innovative medical devices in fetal medicine, the intersection of computer programming and healthcare, and the collection and analysis of long-term outcomes in children with congenital anomalies.
