Preeyanka Bhakta joined the Pediatric Surgery team at Lakeland Regional Health in July 2025. She is a board-certified Physician Assistant who earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University in Arizona.

Before joining Lakeland, Preeyanka completed the Advanced Practice Provider Pediatric Surgery Fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, where she trained across thirteen subspecialties including general surgery, trauma, plastic and craniofacial surgery, urology, and transplant. She is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality surgical care and enjoys collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.
