
Online - Pediatric Fractures: Principles of Evaluation and Management
Brett Shannon, MD, Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware is this month's guest speaker. In this lecture he summarizes basic principles of bone development, growth, and healing along with treatment options for fractures seen in the primary care office.

- Develop approach to evaluating injured patients
- Explain treatment options for fractures
- Recognize potential problems (and their urgency)
Practice Change:
Initiate conservative treatment for non-problematic fractures and advise follow up in 5-10 days.
