Dr. Shirin Hasan earned her M.D. from the University of Kentucky in 1988. She completed her five-year Triple Board Residency in pediatrics, adult psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 1993. She currently practices at Nemours Children’s Hospital, where she has built enduring relationships with patients and their families. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to serving vulnerable populations, at times being the only child psychiatrist in her county and continuing to provide care even after relocating. Passionate about equality and inclusion across religion, race, and gender, she integrates these values into both her practice and personal life, while remaining committed to advancing the well-being of children and families. She is actively involved in resident education, working as a clinical site director for child and adolescent psychiatry for the psychiatry and pediatric residents, and also serves on the academic advisory committee at the UCF College of Medicine.
