Jason Wendle, BSN, RN, CCTN

Jason Wendle, a Florida native, has dedicated the past 14 years to serving patients at Mayo Clinic. With experience across various departments, he currently works as a Pre-Liver Transplant Coordinator, where his compassion and clinical expertise make a meaningful impact. Jason earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida and recently achieved his Certified Clinical Transplant Nurse (CCTN) credential.
Jason’s connection to healthcare is deeply personal. Born with a cleft lip and cleft palate, he is no stranger to the challenges and triumphs of craniofacial care. In 2022, he and his wife welcomed their son—also born with a cleft lip and cleft palate. Genetic testing revealed that both he and his son share Van der Woude Syndrome, a rare genetic condition. This special bond has inspired Jason to become a passionate advocate for cleft and craniofacial awareness, education, and support.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son and exploring new places, cheering on the Jacksonville Jaguars, and golfing.
