Barbara works as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Middleman Family Pavilion in King of Prussia (KOP). She began her nursing career in pediatric oncology after earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Drexel University, working for 10 years on the inpatient Oncology/Blood and Marrow Transplant unit and in the outpatient oncology clinic. Barbara's passion for pediatric oncology nursing, along with her commitment to education and supporting newer nurses, inspired her to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing Education and Faculty Role from Drexel University. Barbara has been in the NPDS role for three years and currently functions as a generalist at the KOP location, supporting the PICU, Oncology, Adolescent, and General Pediatric areas.
