Jennifer Vodzak, MD

Dr. Jennifer Vodzak is a pediatric infectious diseases physician at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware, where she provides clinical care and serves as medical director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program for the region. Dr. Vodzak has contributed to numerous initiatives, committees, presentations and publications in pediatric infectious diseases, informatics, patient safety, and quality improvement. Recognizing her commitment to teaching trainees and colleagues, she has received several teaching awards, and is actively involved in student and resident education, as well as local, regional, and national CME programs.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Wilkes University, Dr. Vodzak obtained her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed both her pediatrics residency and pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Following fellowship, Dr. Vodzak has served in a variety of clinical, academic, healthcare quality and safety, and administrative leadership roles in both urban and rural settings, including at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, and Geisinger Health System Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville, Pennsylvania, prior to joining Nemours Children’s Health.
Dr. Vodzak’s current academic and administrative pursuits focus on antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship, hospital and outpatient-based quality, patient safety and informatics initiatives, and developing multidisciplinary partnerships for improving pediatric care.
