Dr. Sherman completed her undergraduate training at the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio in 2002 and her M.D. at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine in 2006. She did her residency and fellowship in Orthopedic Oncology at the Mayo Clinic School of Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota.  She is currently a consultant in Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic Florida as well as an associate professor of Orthopedics in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.   She specializes in orthopedic oncology including bone and soft tissue tumors and adult reconstruction.   She has a passion for encouraging women to explore orthopedics as a career and participates annually in the Perry Initiative to expose young women to Orthopedics and engineering.
