Robert Walter, MD, FAAP
Dr. Rob Walter is a Board-Certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He received his bachelors and medical degrees through the six-year accelerated program at Northwestern University and completed his pediatric residency at Northwestern’s Children’s Memorial Hospital and 2 years radiology training at the George Washington University Program. Having been residency director of the Dupont Jefferson Pediatric Residency Program and Associated Professor of Pediatrics at Jefferson Medical College, Dr. Walter left academia to pursue his passion for primary care pediatrics at Brandywine Pediatrics in 1998. Dr. Walter enjoys helping families navigate the shifting challenges throughout a child’s development. Dr. Walter is on the active staff of Christina Hospital and the Dupont Hospital for Children.
Dr. Walter has annually been recognized as a Top Doctor by both Philadelphia Magazine and Delaware Today since 2015. He also won the community pediatrician and resident teaching awards through the Dupont Hospital for Children. He served as the medical member of the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association, reflecting his particular interest in sports and adolescent medicine. In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Walter is the director of the annual ROY Warren Seminar in pediatrics at The Dupont Hospital for over 25 years and is the program director for the annual Hot Topics in Pediatrics in Disneyworld. Dr. Walter is a frequent contributor to print and television news outlets on general topics of pediatrics. He is the co-creator and cohost of the Podcast Pediatricians podcast for pediatric caregivers and savvy parents (www.podcastpediatricans.com).
