I grew up in Wilmington NC and went to the same high school as Michael Jordan. I completed my residency at the University of Rochester, Rochester NY and spent 1 year as a NICU Registrar in Sydney Australia and 2 years in private pediatric practice in upstate NY. I completed my fellowship in Neonatology at UNC Chapel Hill in NC with a focus on Quality Improvement through the Gillings School of Public Health. I have been at Betty Cameron Women's & Children's Hospital in Wilmington NC, my hometown, since I complete training in 2006. I have been a Vermont Oxford Clinical Homeroom lead since 2010 and the NICU Quality and Medical Director at Betty Cameron Women's & Children's since 2013. I am the proud wife of a PhD in Engineering who used QI work in the petrochemical industry and the proud mother of 3 children in various stages of their education.
