Dr. Pont graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 2002 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts and Letters in History from the University of Notre Dame.  She completed her pediatric residency at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas followed by her neonatology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center/Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in 2008.  She is the medical director of the NICU at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, TX as well as the Associate Division Chief of Neonatology at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. Her interests include quality improvement, medical leadership, and the standardization of care of surgical infants and infants requiring complex medical care. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and traveling with her husband and two sons.
